GHOST STORIES AND GUIDED TOURS
During the holiday weekend of August
1st and 2nd,
there were GHOST STORIES in the old byre,
and GUIDED TOURS around the castle.
(courtesy of Des and Cathie of Mercat
Tours)
GHOST STORIES were told in the
old byre...
The lights were out and the candles were lit.
Skulls were polished, and so was his wit!

Refreshments were provided, and guests sat at tables
while their ears strained to the ghostly fables.
Their eyes were wide to the flickering flame.
Cake in the tea-room will ne'er be the same!!
Both on SUNDAY and on
MONDAY,

Sir Fitzroy's valet and housemaid escorted people around
the castle,
explaining their daily schedules.
Sir Fitzroy was the 26th chief of the clan Maclean, who bought back the ruins
of Duart in 1911, and lived there until 1936, when he died aged 101.
