FRASER'S DRAGOONES WILL RETURN
ON AUGUST 5TH AND 6TH, 2006
THE 'SEIGE' of DUART CASTLE - 1647
as RE-ENACTED by FRASER'S DRAGOONES.
Here, the dragoones are practising loading and firing their
matchlock muskets.
This is the camp they set up in front of the castle.
....attacks came from all sides,
so frequent troop movements were needed.

The attackers were driven off
by the Maclean troops.

Alas, some never made it home,
and rest to this day within sight of Ben Nevis.
