The Duart Bus - 2010
The Duart bus will be running as usual this year.
For this, you can buy your ticket in Oban, at the CalMac office on
the pier. This entitles you to a return ferry crossing, the bus ride, and a
visit to the home of the Clan Maclean - Duart Castle.
During April, the bus will meet the ferries
that leave Oban at 09.50 and 11.55
and will return you to Craignure for the ferry home
From May 1st to October 11th,
catch the ferry that leaves Oban at 9:50, 11:55, or 14:00 - Sunday to Friday,
or the ones that leave Oban at 09:30, 11:45 or 14:00 on Saturdays.
Find the Duart bus - driven by Neill - at the Craignure Pier
He will take you to Duart Castle,
and return you to the ferry for the 13:00, 15:00 or 17:00 sailings.
or the 12:45, 15:00, or 17:00 sailings on Saturdays.
You can come on the first ferry, and leave on the last if you so wish.
That will give you over four hours at Duart.
There is a tea room at Duart, so you need not
go hungry or thirsty.
The cost, which includes the ferry ride, will be £17.50 for an adult, and £8.75 for a child.
You can also catch the bus from Craignure.
