HISTORIC CARS at DUART

A FRAZER NASH BMW at DUART 24-05-2004

The Frazer Nash car club visited Duart castle on 24th May 2004 as part of their Highlands and Islands Raid. They left with a scarf made from the Isle of Mull tartan under their bonnets!

different engines meant different exhaust patterns

Fraser Nash cars were bespoke vehicles, built to the specification and to suit the pocket of the customer. Chassis length, engine size, ingnition type, and body shape could all be chosen to suit.

A line up of 31 cars, built between 1920 and the early 1950's, was impressive against the rampart walls of Duart's fortress

The drivers and passengers taking part came from as far away as Los Angeles, and included the daughter of Fraser Nash himself.

We hope to see these cars again one day, but until then - goodbye and bonne route.
